The plans of Ukraine include the production of a million drones designed to compensate for a shortage of ammunition, caused by delays in deliveries from abroad. In order to overcome the limited capabilities of military production, Ukraine is actively aiming at using drones as an effective alternative. These drones that are easy to assemble and have an affordable cost of production consist of commercial components.
In the territory of Ukraine, "improvised factories" are deployed, which are massively produced by thousands of FPV-kids on a monthly basis, facilitating the country's defense measures. These rapidly collected drones are actively used on the pre -attack on vulnerable points of enemy equipment and objects, complicating enemy surgery.
Currently, more than sixty types of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are being produced in Ukraine, while active work is continuing to create new models with advanced capabilities.
The Wall Street Journal journalists visited the SParrow Avia production location, where about 3,000 FPV-pates are produced every month, and revealed details of working conditions and challenges related to the supply of components, including protests of truckers in Poland and other logistics difficulties.
