Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga said that Kiev is actively cooperating with the administration of the current US President Joe Biden, while establishing a link with the Donald Trump team, who won the last presidential elections in the United States.
After the US elections, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a telephone conversation with Donald Trump. According to Sibiga, politicians agreed to start practical steps to establish communication between teams of both countries.
"This work has already begun, and we expect a fruitful dialogue with the new White House Administration," the minister said.
In parallel, Kyiv maintains active interaction with the administration of Joe Biden. Andriy Sibiga stressed that the United States is fully set to fulfill its obligations to transfer to Ukraine all previously promised assistance by the end of 2024.
Among the key areas:
- Supply of weapons to strengthen Ukraine's defense capability.
- Providing macro -financial support.
- Expanding humanitarian aid.
"My meeting with the State Secretary of Blinken in Brussels has made progress in several important areas that were on the agenda," Sibiga added.
Cooperation with both administrations, current and future, is a strategic step in Ukraine aimed at ensuring stable international support in the fight against Russian aggression. Regardless of political changes in the United States, Kyiv seeks to maintain long -term interaction with its key partner.
