Ukraine received 3 billion euros from the EU at the expense of the frozen assets of the Russian Federation

The State Budget of Ukraine has been supplemented by 3 billion euros from the European Union. These funds were received within the joint credit of the Great Seven (G7), which is funded by income from frozen Russian assets. Prime Minister Denis Shmigal has informed about it.

"This is the first tranche from the European Union, which are provided with income from Russian frozen assets. Ukraine will direct this resource to priority budget expenditures," Smigal said.

Financing is part of the G7 Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration for Ukraine (ERA) , which provides for $ 50 billion in Ukraine. Of this amount, $ 20 billion is provided by the European Union.

The Prime Minister stressed that this mechanism introduces the principle of "Russia" , allowing the use of assets of the aggressor country to restore Ukraine.

The received funds will be aimed at meeting the priority needs of the budget and strengthening of Ukraine's financial stability in 2025.

"We are gradually bringing into life mechanisms that enhance our country's financial stability. This will help us to effectively resist challenges and ensure stability in war," the Government Head added.
