The Armed Forces of Ukraine received their first batch of strategic shock unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which have the ability to strike targets at a considerable distance. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian company Terminal Autonomy (previously known as One Way Aerospace), which took over the production of these UAVs.
The newest drone was called AQ 400 Scythe. The company reported that the production of this system is successfully completed for further use in combat.
AQ 400 Scythe is a large UAV with a striking radius. It is able to carry a military cargo weighing 32 kg up to 750 km or a larger battle block weighing 70 kg for a distance of 500 km, which is enough to achieve even Moscow. The launch of such UAVs is possible both from short run strips and with the help of catapult.
One of the key benefits of AQ 400 Scythe is its affordable value, which is even lower than that of Russian-Iranian analogues such as ShahED. The design of the drone is very simple and allows the rapid production in different production areas located in all corners of the country. It is important to note that most components are made in Ukraine, and only individual details are purchased in the West.
The company now produces more than 100 UAV units on a monthly basis, but they plan to significantly expand production to a minimum of 500 units in the near future.
