In 2025, Ukraine will receive 12.5 billion euros as part of the Ukraine Facility program from the European Union. This is reported in the conclusions of the European Council. This amount is part of the EU's long-term support to Ukraine to ensure economic stability and recovery of the country.
In addition to the Ukraine Facility program, the European Council welcomed the quick implementation of the G7 ERA (Economic Resilience Assistance) initiative worth 45 billion euros. This initiative is aimed at covering the current and future needs of Ukraine, in particular, military, budget and reconstruction needs.
The EU plans to start payments under this initiative as early as January 2025. The total amount allocated to Ukraine will reach 18.1 billion euros.
The leaders of the European Union emphasized the importance of continuing to consider all legal and financial aspects to ensure the proper implementation of these programs. This includes creating conditions for effective use of funds and their transparent control.
