Ukraine is actively working on expanding its diplomatic presence in Latin America, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
According to him, last year, Ukraine opened new embassies in Africa, which helped to increase the level of cooperation with the countries of the African continent and their leaders.
"This year, we plan to intensify cooperation and increase the potential of our activity, in particular in the direction of Latin America," the President emphasized.
Volodymyr Zelensky also noted that on February 22 he met with representatives of the diplomatic corps of partner countries working in Ukraine. He expressed gratitude to each country and its leader for their support and trust in Ukraine.
"This is one of the manifestations of faith in our country, respect for the Ukrainian people and trust in our power and the ability to achieve Ukrainian goals," Zelensky said.
The meeting discussed the need for "clear and fundamental" cooperation for the implementation of the "formula of peace", ensuring greater security for countries and internal transformation of Ukraine. The topic of joint work on strengthening defense cooperation and increasing pressure on Russia was also broken.
