The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Bill No. 10062, aimed at digital transformation of the army and optimization of military accounting. According to the law, a single electronic register of servicemen , which will be tied to the Unified Register of Voters, and also provides for the automatic obtaining of the status of a participant in hostilities (UBD) during martial law.
The main provisions of the law include:
- Expanding data in the register: the bill provides a significant expansion of personal and official data entered in the Unified State Register of conscripts, conscripts and reservists.
- Creation of a register of servicemen: introduction of a register for servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Service of Special Transport, which will provide access to online services.
- Electronic Services Portal: Creation of the portal for servicemen and servicemen for the provision of electronic services and obtain the necessary information.
- The only register of mobilized: the register will be tied to the Unified Register of Voters and will ensure the processing of personal data to automatically obtain UBD status during martial law.
- Access and control: the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine will have a database, but access to Ukraine, intelligence authorities, operational commands and territorial management centers in the oblasts will also have access to it.
This law fits into a wider context of Ukraine's digital development and strengthen its defense capability in modern challenges.
