Ukraine Recovery Conference has increased their obligations to support humanitarian demining in Ukraine by more than $ 35 million. The total amount of partner countries now is $ 850 million.
These funds will be aimed at humanitarian projects by 2027.
Germany is celebrated among countries that have increased humanitarian funding. The German government has allocated an additional 20 million euros for 2024, including 1 million euros for a pilot project in cooperation with the Danish Council for Refugees and Humanity & Inclusion. It also plans to allocate € 4 million for projects in 2025.
Sweden also joined the initiative, allocating US $ 9 million to train government institutions.
Belgium has contributed to 2 million euros to joint projects on UNDP and FAO in the field of humanitarian demining.
