Ukraine is looking for ways out of the judicial crisis to get closer to the European Union

During the opening of the XII Judicial Forum of the Association of Lawyers of Ukraine, the chairman of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, Stanislav Kravchenko noted the need to reform the judicial system in the context of the country's approach to the European Union.

One of the main problems arising from the judicial crisis is the existing shortcomings in the legislation. The Chairman of the Supreme Court also expressed anxiety about the structure of the judicial network, emphasizing that it should meet the conditions even in martial law. In addition, he identified a personnel problem as an important factor, pointing out the need to consider the law and unity of jurisprudence.

The chairman of the High Qualifications Committee of Judges, Roman Ignatov, covered the extent of personnel famine in the judicial system in further speeches. According to him, there are 560 vacancies in general courts, and 532 on appeal. There is also a need for competitions for the Supreme Anti -Corruption Court and administrative jurisdiction.

It should be noted that these steps in judicial reform determine the important course for Ukraine on the way to approaching the standards of the European Union.
