The petition author points out that nuclear weapons are often more supported in international affairs. He notes that the current security situation in Ukraine, including the war with Russia, requires new approaches to strengthening defense. According to its nuclear weapons, it can be a quantity of a rapid factor that will allow Ukraine to better protect its interests and national security.
"It is no secret that in this world they are considered only with strong. Many examples in world history, when the support of partners depends on whether you have nuclear potential. The country does not necessarily use this potential. But you will be reckoned with you," the petition said.
The author clogs, the countries who have signed the Budapest Memorandum, do not fully fulfill their obligations, are afraid of escalation with Russia (because it has nuclear weapons).
As of now, the petition gained 501 votes, from 25 thousand required.
"Another example is Israel. Why the US supports not only weapons but also participate in the conflict in the Middle East. Israel is a nuclear country! I ask to support the creation of nuclear weapons in Ukraine. There will be no more escalation than now in Ukraine. We must become a strong and independent country."
The Center for Combating Misinformation denied information about Ukraine's plans for the restoration of the nuclear arsenal.
