Ukrainian air defense has defeated Putin's "superweapon" - British intelligence

Ukrainian air defense (ADF) has again demonstrated its effectiveness by shooting down Kinzhal ballistic missiles - the so-called "superweapon" of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. British Ministry of Defense intelligence reported this success, claiming that Ukrainian air defenses are capable of effectively intercepting these targets.

British intelligence officers emphasize that on December 14, 2023, the Russian military used the Kinzhal ballistic missile for the first time since August. According to intelligence, the aggressor Russia launched at least one missile in the central part of Ukraine, probably at a military airfield. This episode is part of Russia's strategy to use the Dagger to achieve its high-value and well-protected targets, according to the Kremlin's military doctrine.

It is noted that the Kinjal missile was declared by Putin as one of the "super weapons" in 2018, and it played an important role in Russia's future military strategy. However, according to British intelligence, Ukraine has shown high efficiency in intercepting attacks, which calls into question the effectiveness of "Daggers" in real combat conditions.

Many of the launches of "Kinzhal" missiles, analysts note, probably did not achieve the intended goals, and Ukrainian air defense managed to effectively intercept the attacks of this "invincible" system. This fact testifies to the success of the Ukrainian defense and calls into question the real capabilities of Putin's "super weapon" in the conflict with Ukraine.

The British intelligence investigation highlights the importance of effective air defense for countries under threat of aggression from Russia, and provides further incentive to develop and improve their own air defense systems.
