In the first ten months of 2024, Ukraine reached $ 92 billion, increasing by 10.1 billion in October. During this period, Ukraine imported goods worth $ 57.4 billion, while exports amounted to $ 34.6 billion, which indicates a significant advantage of imports over exports.
Ukraine continues to actively cooperate with international partners, including China, with an import of $ 11.6 billion. The following are Poland from 5.6 billion and Germany from 4.4 billion. On the other hand, among the countries where Ukraine exports the most, Poland ($ 4 billion) also in the first place is Germany and Spain ($ 2.4 billion).
The basis of imports to Ukraine in 2024 was three key categories of goods: machines, equipment and vehicles - $ 20.3 billion, which is the highest share of the total value of imports.
Chemical products - $ 9.3 billion.
Fuel and energy products- $ 8.7 billion. The export structure leads the following groups of goods:
Food goods - $ 20.3 billion, which indicates the important role of the agricultural sector in Ukrainian exports.
Metals and products of them - $ 3.8 billion.
Machines, equipment and transport - $ 2.9 billion. During January-October 2024, $ 251.7 million was paid to the budget during the customs clearance of goods on which the export duty was set. These revenues indicate an important financial contribution of exporters to the state budget.
