Energy Minister of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko stated that at least 1 billion cubic meters of gas will be required to provide the country with gas in the next heating season. Depending on the consequences of Russian attacks on gas infrastructure, import volumes can be adjusted.
Galushchenko noted that the gas supply situation will depend on how the country will come out from the current heating season, since hostilities have a significant impact on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
In addition, the Minister informed that Ukraine will use not only its own funds but also credit lines to cover the needs of Gaza, in particular from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Negotiations are underway with international partners about the possibility of obtaining gas in the form of grants.
Despite the difficult situation, Galushchenko noted that Russian shelling influences gas production temporarily and Ukraine is working to restore damaged objects.
