Ukraine returned seven children from the Russian occupation. Thanks to the Bring Kids Back UA initiative and the assistance of Qatar managed to evacuate minors from the temporarily occupied territories and the territories of Russia.
This was reported by the adviser to the head of the Presidential Office Darii Gerasimchuk. "As part of the initiative of the President of Ukraine, Bring Kids Back UA managed to return seven Ukrainian children who were in temporarily occupied territories and in Russia," she said.
Among the saved - a boy who, together with his parents, lived under occupation for a long time. He experienced forced certification, psychological pressure at school and fear for his own future. The boy's parents, seeking to provide him with access to education in free Ukraine, found an opportunity to take him to the controlled territory.
It was also possible to evacuate the mother with the daughter, who were supervised by the occupation structures through their pro -Ukrainian position. After detention, the family realized that any delay could be dangerous and decided to find a way to leave the occupied territory.
Dariya Gerasimchuk expressed gratitude to the Ombudsman's office of Ukraine and the state of Katar for their assistance in returning Ukrainian children. She stressed that the process of liberation of minors from the occupation is ongoing, and Ukraine will continue to work on returning every child home.
