The Ministry of Environment of Ukraine has developed a plan for combating waste, which includes the sale of 200 promising projects for the processing of different types of garbage.
The Minister of Protection of the Environment and Natural Resources of Ukraine, Ruslan Streach, said that analyzing the problems of different regions and studying the experience of European countries, they have developed a plan for the placement of new waste treatment factories across the country.
Priority projects include the construction of garbage processing plants in the Kyiv region, deep sorting of waste in Kyiv and Ivano-Frankivsk region, as well as the creation of four plants in Poltava and seven in Odesa region. Similar events are also planned in the Transcarpathian, Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
Currently, there are 17 waste processing companies in Ukraine, 35 for plastic processing and 27 with glass. However, these enterprises use only 40% of their capacity, importing raw materials from other countries, which costs a large amount. For example, Ukraine buys more than 200 thousand tons of garbage annually, and has spent $ 38 million in a wasteman in six months.
