Ukraine continues to return children from temporarily occupied territories. Thanks to the efforts of volunteers and the Bring Kids Back UA , 15 more children from Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions have been evacuated. Currently, all of them, together with families, are safe and receive the necessary support in specialized centers.
According to Dmitry Kuleba, the Ukrainian official, the invaders tried to assimilate children, forcing them to accept Russian citizenship, to study on propaganda programs and to even mobilize to the Russian army.
- Vitalina , while in the last time of pregnancy, was forced to issue Russian documents for a newborn baby so that she was not taken away.
- Marichka , an 18-year-old girl, attended a Russian school where she was forced to teach propaganda poems. She received an ultimatum: to become a Russian citizen or to leave the occupied territory on foot.
- Cyril , at the age of 17, received a summons to the Russian army, as the invaders stated that he is now a Russian citizen.
These stories illustrate the terrible conditions in which Ukrainian children are during the occupation and show how important their evacuation is.
