The delegation of high -ranking officials from Ukraine arrived in London to participate in negotiations dedicated to the peaceful settlement of the war. The delegation included the head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak, Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
Andriy Yermak reported this in his telegram channel on Wednesday, April 23. He stressed that despite the difficult situation, Ukraine continues to work actively on peace.
"Nevertheless, we will work for the sake of peace. Let's meet with American and European interlocutors who are in the British capital today. The path to peace is not easy, but Ukraine has been and remains a peaceful effort," Ermak said.
He recalled that during meetings in Jedda in March, Ukraine demonstrated openness to a peaceful dialogue and is not an obstacle to this path.
During the negotiations, the parties will discuss ways to achieve a complete and unconditional ceasefire as the first stage to a full peaceful settlement. The Ukrainian side insists on a fair and sustainable peace, which will be based on international law and sovereignty of Ukraine.
