In January 2025, the commanders took place in three Ukrainian brigades involved in hostilities in the Kurakhiv direction of Donetsk region. In particular, in the 33rd separate mechanized brigade, the 46th separate airmobile brigade and the 35th Marines Brigade.
Colonel Dmitry Palis became the commander of the 33rd OMBR, who was replaced by Yuri Gupaliuk. Palis, one of the youngest comburgs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has extensive combat experience, in particular in the battles for estuary and counter -offensive in Kharkiv region. He is also the brother of the deputy head of the Presidential Office Pavel Palis.
In the 46th separate airmobile brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Dmitry Kapitul became a new commbg, who replaced Colonel Vitaliy Zolotarev. The Capitula previously commanded the battalion of the 95th Airborne Assault Brigade and had experience in participating in a number of important operations.
The 35th Marine Corps Brigade is now managed by Colonel Alexei Bulakhov, who was replaced by Kirill Orlyuk, who was appointed to this position only three weeks ago. Bulakhov, known as one of Mariupol's defenders, was released from captivity in 2022.
Changes in the leadership of brigades are part of the overall process of rotation and adaptation of the command warehouse to strengthen the combat potential on the front.
