Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders recorded 177 fighting collisions in different directions of the front. The most intense battles took place in the Pokrovsky direction, where the Russian forces made 72 attempts to break.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces in the morning summary on May 20.
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy's troops tried to advance three times in the areas of Vovchansk and Kutkovka. The Kupyansky direction also remained intense - there were three assault attempts.
23 combat clashes were recorded in the estuary direction. The enemy attacked near a number of settlements, including Yampolivka, Thorns and New Peace.
Four enemy attacks were reflected in the areas of Verkhnamiansky and Bigorivka. There are six on Kramatorsk, including the time ravine and Kurdyumivka.
In the Toretsky direction, the defenders stopped 13 attacks near Toretsk, Novospasky and Ivanopil. There are 22 in the Novopavlovsky direction, in particular in the areas of the equivalent and green field.
The units of the Defense Forces were successfully operating in the Orikhiv direction - four reflected storms in the area of small Tokmachka and Steppe. In the Dnieper direction there is one attempt to promote, which ended unsuccessfully for the enemy.
In the Kursk direction, the Ukrainian military reflected ten attacks. The Russian forces caused 14 air strikes and carried out 227 shelling, using 32 managed aircraft.
The missile troops and the artillery of the defense forces struck three areas of concentration of the enemy's live power and equipment, as well as five enemy artillery.
