In Ukraine, large mothers have the opportunity to retire ahead of time, using the right, which provides for retirement after reaching 50 years, provided there are at least 15 years of service. This right provided by law allows to reduce age restrictions for women raising several children.
According to the Pension Fund of Ukraine, large mothers can also count on additional pension allowance. The allowance ranges from 35% to 40% of the subsistence minimum for disabled persons, depending on the number of children. This provision is enshrined in the Law of Ukraine “On Pensions for Special Merit to Ukraine” and is aimed at supporting women who spent a considerable part of their time on the upbringing of children. For women who did not work until January 1, 2004 and have been careful for a child, this period may be included in their insurance experience, but not more than reaching a child of three years of age. To confirm this fact, the birth certificate must be provided.
From April 1, 2004, child care under 3 years is automatically taken into account in the length of service, provided that the woman receives appropriate assistance from the state.
