Ukrenergo suspends individual measurements of electricity consumption throughout Ukraine from July 9 to July 24 due to a significant shortage of energy resources and increased demand in connection with heat.
Instead, the company has set a schedule of hourly power outages: from July 9 from 05:00 to 14:00 - two queues of shutdowns, from 16:00 to 22:00 - four queues, and three queues at other hours. Ukrenergo's representatives explained that this measure is necessary to restrict electricity consumption in order to ensure the stability of energy. They also emphasized that the planned measurements will be restored later when the energy supply situation will improve and the air temperature will decrease.
This temporary measure is intended to ensure the stability of energy supply in the conditions of increasing electricity consumption and the limited energy resources.
