Ukrenergo successfully restored the operation of the high-voltage line of the ZNPP

JSC "Ukrenergo" successfully resumed the operation of one of the high-voltage lines of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.

The message states: "Ukrenergo has restored the operation of the high-voltage line necessary to provide electricity for the needs of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. At the moment, the power plant has switched to a normal power supply mode, getting rid of the backup one."

It is noted that, as a result of the Russian attack, the ZANP lost connection with the power system at night. Despite this, energy supply to consumers in the Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions was not interrupted thanks to the launch of reserve lines.

On the night of December 2, a missile attack damaged two overhead lines - 750 and 330 kV, which supply electricity for the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. The dispatchers of "Ukrenergo" managed to restore the main power supply line of the ZNPP with a voltage of 750 kV.

Currently, the power plant receives the necessary electricity for safe operation from the unified energy system of Ukraine. "Ukrenergo" repair crews will begin the restoration of damaged lines if it is safe to do so. The organization also thanked the Air Defense Forces for their impeccable work, which helped to avoid more damage to the power system.
