Ukrzaliznytsya announced a winter trip to the longest narrow -gauge traveler in Europe, which will take place on December 16 this year and was defined as the last retrotance in 2023. The event was attended by a historic locomotive, which has been 70 years old.
According to the company, the journey includes rolled trail -snowy division at a retro train, which pulls an ancient German locomotive of 1951 and four Pafawag passenger cars of Polish production in 1960.
The program provides not only a trip to the longest narrow-gauge Europe, but also a cultural and artistic program from the Gayvoronsk City Council, a hot lunch on the Southern Bug, a charity fair to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as an opportunity to travel on a single car in Ukraine moving on railway tracks.
Retro train tickets can be purchased through the Ukrzaliznytsia mobile application, on the official website, at chatbots and the ticket offices. On the trip there are such areas as Gayvoron - Bershad, Bershad - Gayvoron, Gayvoron - Torch and Hashchevate - Gayvoron. The average cost of a retro train is 116 UAH for adults and UAH 87 for children under 14 years.
The company also organized a non -elastic trailer wagons for convenient access from Kiev and Lviv to the place of departure and return. The departure of trains from Kiev and Lviv will be held on the evening of December 15, and the return from Gayvoron is scheduled for December 16.
It is important to note that the Gayvoronsk narrow -gauge railway, which runs through the territories of Vinnytsia and Kirovograd regions, is the longest narrow -gauge in Europe with a length of 130 kilometers.
