In the tourist city of Hum, located in one of the regions of Croatia, travelers have a unique opportunity to feel the spirit of history, overcoming only 100 meters. It is a town that is considered the smallest in the world, allows travelers to easily look at all its landmarks in a short time.
The legend reports that Hum was built by ancient giants who were fascinated by this corner of the world. When large stones ended, the giants continued to erect houses using less material. Although this story can only be fictional, the first mention of the city dates back to 1102, when it was called the hill.
The town originated as a watchtower, where several people lived to keep the area under supervision and protect against unexpected attacks. Over time, Hum received a bell tower in 1552 and a paraphial church in 1802.
The whole city is surrounded by walls, which exist almost nothing, which makes it an internal part of a real architectural treasure that has been preserved. Although the city itself consists of only a few streets and a small number of residents, it is striking with its unique atmosphere and historical heritage.
