The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to continue the validity of preferential tariffs for electricity for the population by the end of April next year. Prime Minister Denis Shmigal has informed about it in his Telegram channel.
"The government continues the preferential price for electricity for the population by the end of April next year," the Prime Minister said. For household consumers, the price of electricity will remain at the level of 2.64 UAH per kW/h. This decision is aimed at avoiding increasing the financial burden for citizens during the heating season.
Recall that since July 1 in Ukraine, the tariffs for electricity for business have been significantly raised. However, for the population, the preferential price remains stable.
Ukrenergo has also recently announced the involvement of emergency aid from Slovakia, Romania and Poland to balance the Ukrainian power system and avoid light shutdowns. Consumption limits are currently not being introduced in Ukraine, and the shutdown schedules are not envisaged.
