CEO of the promotional company K2 Promotions Alexander Krasyuk announced the termination of cooperation with the Ukrainian heavyweight champion Alexander Usik (23-0, 14 KO).
“It was an incredible journey - 12 years of incredible success. Two young dreamers met to change the rules of the game. Back in 2013, I gave you a word - and I kept it. At the time, no one believed that we were able to achieve what we intended, ”Krasuk wrote in a statement, thanking for the honor of being a life promoter of the two -time absolute world champion.
Key milestones in Usik's career were overcome during cooperation: September 2016 - WBO Champion in the first heavyweight weight; January 2018 - WBO and WBC champion in the first heavyweight; July 2018 - absolute first heavyweight champion; September 2021 - WBO, WBA and IBF champion; May 2024 - absolute heavyweight champion.
Currently, the official reason for the termination of cooperation is not disclosed.
