The investigation into the mysterious disappearance of the Cuban living in Spain ended with the arrest of suspects due to an unexpected source of evidence - a picture of Google Maps. The photo, which recorded the moment of loading of the body into the trunk of the car, became the key to install the guilty.
Relatives of the missing were suspected after receiving strange messages from his phone. The texts claimed that he found a new partner, leaves Spain and was going to get rid of the phone. This raised doubts about the police that started the investigation.
The key proof was a photo on which a man puts a white bag in a red car trunk. The picture was able to find the car and establish the involvement of the former victim's partner and her new lover.
A few weeks after the arrest of the suspects, a body was found, which, according to preliminary data, belongs to the missing.
Police stressed that Google Maps shot played a decisive role in the investigation. Thanks to the photo, we managed to establish the location of the car, reconstruct events and prove the guilt of the suspects.
