NATO Peacekeeping Center began operating in Kazakhstan. The opening ceremony was attended by US ambassador to the republic, Daniel Rosenblum. About it reports the official page of the US Embassy on Facebook.
It is noted that the Kazakh military will be held at the Center for Peacekeeping Operations in accordance with NATO standards. The post states that the United States is proud of cooperation with Kazakhstan in order to ensure safety, prosperity and peace.
NATO relations between Kazakhstan and NATO are based on the partnership in the name of peace and the Bilateral Military Cooperation Program, signed in 1994. The interaction began in 1992, when Kazakhstan joined the North Atlantic Cooperation Council and, since 1997, the Council of Euro -Atlantic Partnership.
Since 2007, the NATO Defense Education Program (Deep) has been operating in Kazakhstan together with the Kazakh National University of Defense.
