At the Kyiv International Economic Forum Oleksiy Brecht, Acting chairman of the board of NEC "Ukrenergo", announced that regional authorities should develop and present "passports of energy independence" for each region of Ukraine.
The purpose of these documents is to provide the population and critical infrastructure with electricity from their own power sources, reducing dependence on external suppliers. Brecht emphasized that analysts of the Ukrenergo company will provide assistance in creating such passports, determining where and which energy sources should be implemented for effective and sustainable energy supply on the ground.
The "Energy Independence Passport" will allow each region to understand how to provide energy for the population and critical infrastructure facilities, which will be an important step towards the country's energy security.
