Seoul announced the number of North Korean losses in the war against Ukraine

North Korea suffered significant losses in the war against Ukraine, in particular in Kurshchyna, where at least 100 soldiers were killed and about 1,000 others were injured during hostilities with Ukrainian forces. This was reported by South Korean parliament member Lee Song Kwon.

The reason for the high losses of the North Korean troops, according to him, is the lack of experience in conducting combat operations using drones, as well as ignorance of the terrain on which they are fighting. Lee Song Kwon also explained the discrepancy in the death toll estimates, noting that data from South Korea's National Intelligence Service (NIS) is more conservative than estimates by US military officials.

According to American and South Korean officials, more than 10,000 North Korean troops have been sent to Russia to support military operations. However, neither North Korea nor Russia have officially acknowledged this troop deployment or arms supply.

There are also signs that the DPRK may be preparing for additional deployment of its forces on the territory of Russia.
