Ukraine is preparing for a sharp cold that will come through Elvira anticyclone. According to Natalie Ptukha, the weather, in the coming days, the weather conditions in Ukraine will determine the field of high atmospheric pressure, as well as arctic air, which will lead to a significant decrease in temperature.
It is projected that at the weekend and next week the temperature in Ukraine will fall to -10, and in places even up to -14 degrees. Such cooling is the result of a powerful anticyclone that will keep cold weather. At night, the temperature in Ukraine will drop to -10 degrees, and in the Carpathian mountainous areas it can drop to -14 degrees. The daytime temperature will vary from -4 to +1 degrees, with possible fluctuations depending on the region. It will be especially cold in the west and in mountainous areas, where even in the afternoon the temperature will remain low: from -6 to 0 degrees. However, in the southern and western regions, it is projected to warm up to +3 ° C.
The weather in the Crimea, according to the forecaster, will also not bring surprises - only a possible light snow. Rainfall is not expected to preserve clear and cold weather. The weather forecaster Igor Kibalchich confirmed that Ukraine will find itself on the southern periphery of Elvira anticyclone, which will lead to the predominance of eastern winds and low -cloudy weather in the central and eastern regions. On the weekend on February 8 and 9, there is no precipitation in the western regions of the country, but in the central and eastern regions it will be without rain and snow.
According to the forecasts, by the end of next week, dramatic changes in weather conditions should not be expected. Only in some regions can the temperature rise by a couple of degrees, but the overall trend will remain cold.
