Since March 2025, Ukraine will have an automatic recalculation of housing subsidies for households, where the average monthly total income has changed by more than 50%. Such an innovation comes into force according to the decision of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
According to the new rules, the recalculation of subsidies will take place twice a year - in March and August. Household revenues will be taken into account for the III -IV quarters of the previous year, which will be compared with data for the I -II quarters of the same year. If the income difference exceeds 50%, the subsidy will be automatically adjusted. Such changes will be made without submitting applications from citizens.
According to the innovation, if household revenues have decreased or increased by more than 50%, then the subsidy will be changed. This means that for some families, the amount of assistance may increase if their income has decreased or decreased if the income has increased.
Such an innovation will automate the process of recalculating subsidies and will make it more efficient, without requiring citizens unnecessary.
Changes will only affect those households that have significant changes in income. If the difference in total income is more than 50%, the subsidy will be recalculated. Changes can be in the direction of reduction and increasing assistance.
