In Ukraine, martial law and mobilization have been extended

On July 15, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine made a decision on the next continuation of martial law and general mobilization. These measures will now continue until November 5, 2025. This was reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak in his Telegram channel.

The relevant draft laws No. 13471 and No. 13472 were supported by the constitutional majority: 320 people's deputies voted for “for”. Only one voice was presented against.

This is the sixteenth continuation of martial law since the beginning of the full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine on February 24, 2022. As in the previous times, the duration of action has been extended for a standard period - 90 days.

The martial law provides for a number of restrictions, including a curfew, a ban on conducting mass events without the permission of military administrations, the possibility of restricting the movement of citizens, as well as the expanded powers of military command.

Overall mobilization means that conscripted men can be drafted into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations. Mobilization also covers the need for medical, engineering, logistics and technical specialists.

Further mobilization policy details, including potential legislation adjustments, are expected to be discussed in the near future at the government and the General Staff.
