During January-February 2025, 3186 citizens reported in 2024 in 2024 income of more than UAH 1 million. Such data were published by the State Tax Service in its report of March 13.
The total amount of declared income was UAH 21.8 billion. From this amount, UAH 269.6 million is expected to receive the budget in the form of personal income tax and UAH 44.6 million.
Interestingly, among millionaires there is both the youngest and the oldest declarants. The youngest of them is only 3.5 years. This child inherited property that allowed him to be among the Ukrainian millionaires. The oldest declarant is a 96-year-old resident of Kiev, who declared significant income from the sale of securities.
In just two months, citizens filed more than 44 thousand declarations, which indicated income totaling UAH 36.2 billion. This is 62% more than last year. Residents of Kyiv, Lviv and Dnipropetrovsk regions were most actively declared.
It is important to note that the budget is declared:
- 436.9 million hryvnias of personal income tax, which is 15% more than in 2023;
- 80.3 million hryvnias of military fee, which is also 15% more than the previous year.
In addition, more than 16,000 people have declared the right to a tax rebate, through which they received a return from the budget worth UAH 105.7 million.
Experts say that the increase in the volume of declared income indicates both the economic restoration of the country and the strengthening of control over the fulfillment of tax liabilities.
