In Ukraine, a new civilian profession has been officially implemented - Deminer, which is aimed at solving the problem of demining territories contaminated with explosive objects. This initiative is an important step towards improving citizens' safety and returning to the use of potentially polluted land.
Earlier in Ukraine there was no single professional standard for deminers, which created difficulties in the training of specialists. A clear standard has now been developed that includes five qualification levels:
- Basic level - to perform non -technical examination of the territories.
- Medium level - for work with explosive objects under supervision.
- In -depth level - for self -demining of territories.
- Qualification for specialized conditions - for example, in buildings.
- International level - certification that is recognized outside Ukraine.
Thanks to the new standard, experts will be qualified that meets international requirements.
Particular emphasis is on the involvement of war veterans who have combat experience and seek to integrate into civilian life. According to the Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko.
The Government also provides veterans support through re -qualification and integration programs into the humanitarian demining.
The introduction of the December's profession is part of a large -scale strategy of mine activity that includes:
- Cleaning of territories from explosive objects.
- Increasing the level of safety of citizens.
- Return to the use of deocal land.
At the moment, the area of potentially polluted territories in Ukraine is estimated at 174 thousand square meters. km.
