US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Washington is ready to support any mechanism that would facilitate the end of the war in Ukraine. He said this before the non -formal meeting of NATO ministers in Antalya on Thursday, May 15, European Truth .
According to Rubio, the focus of Western Allies is now the issue of peaceful settlement of the war that Russia has resolved against Ukraine.
"We will see that it will happen in this regard in the coming days, but we want to see progress in this direction. And any mechanism that will be proposed, any process that will need to be carried out-we are ready to be constructive and help everyone we can to put an end to the conflict," the Secretary of State said.
He also stressed that the United States did not believe in the possibility of ending the war exclusively by military means.
"This war will end not with a military man but a diplomatic way. And the faster the consent will be reached, the less people will die and less will be destroyed. And in the end, this is the purpose of the President (Trump)," Rubio added.
