Washington does not see the point in negotiations without termination of hostilities

The United States of America has stated that they do not see grounds at the moment to start negotiating the final reach of peace in Ukraine. This was announced on April 10 by a spokeswoman for US State Department Temmy Bruce at a press conference.

“All of our leadership, including President Trump and State Secretary Rubio, clearly made it clear that they were put on the map when it comes to the nature of the end of this situation. It is a dynamics that cannot be resolved by military means. It is a meat grinder. There is nothing to say about the end result until the shooting and murder stops, ”Bruce said.

Washington insists: before talking about political agreements, the main thing must be achieved - the termination of hostilities. It is from this that, according to the State Department, any dialogue of peace should begin.

The spokeswoman also recalled the words of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who during a recent visit to NATO headquarters stated that it would be clear in the coming weeks whether Russia is ready to take a serious approach to settlement.

"Russia, of course, must take it seriously," Bruce added.
