A tragic incident occurred at the gas station in the city of Piryatin, Poltava region. In his address, he stressed that disregard for Ukraine's defenders is unacceptable and that an attack on the military in the rear is a serious signal that cannot be ignored. "We do not have the right to silently watch the growing wave of disdain for the defenders of Ukraine. It is beyond what can be tolerated. Everything is not happening suddenly. We have already seen cases of humiliation and aggression against our defenders, but I have not seen the acute reaction of society to it. Now we have direct armed. He stressed that the attack on the military and his murder have no excuses and that a lightning and rigid response of the authorities should be provided in response. "Without a fair punishment of murderers, abysses and traitors, we will get even more killed in the rear of brothers," he added.
According to official information, the attack occurred at a gas station in Piryatin, when an unknown man in gray Balaklava and pixel pants approached the TCC serviceman. He threatened with a hunting gun and demanded weapons. Receiving the refusal, the attacker opened the fire, killing the military on the spot. The attacker took possession of the died and fled together with one of the mobilized citizens. The incident in the Poltava region conducted a special operation "Siren". The suspects were detained, and they were locals: a man born in 1984 and his accomplice from Poltava. At the moment, a pre -trial investigation under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, including murder and illegal seizure of weapons, has been launched. Violators are threatened with imprisonment for a term of seven to fifteen years.
The commander of the Land Forces emphasized the importance of supporting the moral and physical safety of servicemen and respect for them by society. He stressed that indifference to such incidents can lead to a much more attacks that will affect the safety not only on the front but also in the rear. Therefore, he called for a decisive response to such crimes to protect the country from further acts of violence.
