As part of a study, scientists at Georgia University in the United States have found an effective alternative to morning coffee, which can give even more vigor than a regular drink.
The study was conducted among students who sleep on average only 6.5 hours a day and face the problems of insufficient sleep. The participants were divided into groups: one group took caffeine pills, the other received placebo, and some received a proposal to drink soda. There was also a group that slowly rose up the stairs for 10 minutes, overcoming up to 30 floors. After that, volunteers passed a number of tests, including logical and verbal tasks.
It turned out that even the intake of coffee, as well as placebo and soda did not lead to a special increase in energy. While exercising in the form of lifting the stairs gave a sense of freshness and energy. In addition, such physical effort increased the level of students' motivation for further work.
