Britain calls on China to investigate arms supplies to Russia

The UK Foreign Minister David Lemmy urged China to investigate the accusations of supplying weapons to the Russian military who are involved in the conflict in Ukraine. This call sounded against the background of the US decision to impose sanctions against Chinese companies that produce weapons for Russia, Politico reports.

During his visit to China, Lemmy met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Van I, during which he noted that the United Kingdom and China have a "common interest in peace in Europe and termination of war" in Ukraine. He stressed that military supplies from China to Russia could have a negative impact on China's relations with Europe, while facilitating the continuation of war in Ukraine.

Lemmy's statement emphasizes the growing concern of the international community about China's possible participation in the supply of Russia's weapons. The British Minister has called for transparency and responsibility, as the continuation of Russia's military support can lead to further destabilization of the region and complicate China's relations with Western countries.
