During his visit to China, Lemmy met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Van I, during which he noted that the United Kingdom and China have a "common interest in peace in Europe and termination of war" in Ukraine. He stressed that military supplies from China to Russia could have a negative impact on China's relations with Europe, while facilitating the continuation of war in Ukraine.
