Hungary Prime Minister Viktor Orban has expressed his position on Russian threats that recently made Western politicians and media. According to him, these statements are the "prelude" in the deeper involvement of the event in the Ukrainian conflict.
In a speech on National Radio, Victor Orban stressed that such statements testify to the preparation of Europe for the beginning of the war with Russia.
In addition, Orban called unfounded fears of Europe and the United States because Russia "will suddenly come and absorb the entire Western world." According to him, Moscow has neither desire nor, probably, the opportunity to wage a war against the whole bloc of NATO - so "the chances of it are extremely small."
Russia is unlikely to attack NATO because even Ukraine cannot win, Orban said.
“Russian troops have already shown the limits of their capabilities in Ukraine. If the Russians were strong enough to defeat Ukrainians in one go, they would have already done it. Therefore, I do not consider it logical that Russia, which cannot win even Ukraine, will suddenly come and swallow the whole Western world. The chances of this are extremely small, ”said the Prime Minister of Hungary.
He noted that NATO's military potential is much higher than the Ukrainian.
