President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky spoke at a meeting of G7 leaders, where he emphasized the importance of unity of Ukraine, the USA and Europe in ensuring a guaranteed peace. According to him, the common position of these countries is the key to stability and security.
Zelensky expressed gratitude to the States of the Seven Group for the support of Ukraine in the confrontation of Russian aggression. He emphasized that from the very beginning of the war, Ukraine sought peace, and is now convinced that its achievement is possible only through the joint efforts of partners.
The President emphasized that the US, Europe and Ukraine as the strongest defenders of freedom should work together to guarantee a long peace. He noted that it is necessary to enter into a real peace agreement, which will not only cease hostilities, but also prevent further losses among Ukrainians, both in captivity and in the occupied territories.
Zelensky also warned that leaving Ukraine outside NATO will make the way to peace much more complicated and costly. He urged to choose the most effective and safest option - the one that will meet the interests of Ukraine and its allies, not the Kremlin's position.
In addition, the President reported the active work of the Ukrainian and American teams on a new economic agreement, emphasizing the importance of maintaining support from the US for Ukraine.
