One of Eastern Europe's largest low cost, Wizz Air plans to restore flights to Ukraine after the ceasefire was announced. This was stated by CEO of Jozef Varada, Reuters .
According to him, the airline has a clear plan for restarting flights and is ready to return to the Ukrainian market, as soon as the situation allows the safe opening of airspace.
🔹 The company plans to restore 30 routes within six weeks.
🔹 According to the European Flight Agency (EASA), it takes 6 to 8 weeks after the fighting is completed.
🔹 Six months after Wizz Air stabilization will open its bases in Kyiv and Lviv.
🔹 In total, the company plans to serve 60 directions and transport up to 5 million passengers a year.
The full -scale invasion of Wizz Air was one of the top three among the carriers in Ukraine, occupying 10.1% of the market in 2021.
