Wizz Air introduces a service with compensation of up to 600 euros for passengers

Lowcost-Avias carrier Wizz Air and Blue Ribbon Bags are introducing a new service for luggage insurance. According to these innovations, passengers, having lost their luggage while traveling, can receive compensation of up to 600 euros. However, you need to fulfill a certain condition to receive payment.

The new Wizz Air service provides an opportunity to receive up to 600 euros in case of luggage delay for more than 96 hours. This service is implemented in collaboration with Blue Ribbon Bags, which monitors the location of lost luggage and pays compensation.

The cost of insurance is 2.5 euros for each flight and covers the entire luggage of the passenger. In order to apply for compensation, passengers must contact LOST & Found at the airport and inform the insurance company specialists. In the event that luggage is not found within 96 hours, passengers will be paid compensation of 600 euros for each lost bag, with a maximum payment of 600 euros.

It is important to note that compensation is also provided for those passengers whose bags will be delayed, but not earlier than 96 hours after arrival, and in this case, confirmation of the value of luggage is optional.

Currently, the airline is responsible for delay, loss or damage in Europe under the Montreal Convention. However, receiving compensation remains a difficult task, since a restriction of 1,288 special borrowing rights (approximately 1,570 euros) is imposed on the responsibility of air carriers.

It should be noted that Lowcaster Ryanair, which is one of the most popular in Europe, plans to expand the network of its flights this spring, launching three new routes from Spain, Denmark and Bulgaria.
