The recently published investigation of the unification of the former Belarusian security forces Belpol on YouTube points to the active participation of a number of Belarusian state -owned enterprises in the production of ammunition supplied to the Russian Federation for the needs of its army. These companies include the Belarusian Automobile Plant (Belas), the Belarusian Metallurgical Plant (Zhalobin) and the Borisov Autotractor Electrical Electrical Plant (BAT).
According to the investigation, these enterprises are engaged in the production of 122 mm and 152 mm caliber shells, which are actively used in Russia's fighting. One of the most critical points of the investigation is that these enterprises not only supply projectiles, but also participate in the production of individual components for rocket systems. In particular, Belas, together with other plants, produces metal sleeves for jet shells and pipe harvesting for rockets. In addition, in March 2023, the Belarusian "exact electromechanics plant" signed a contract with the Russian alloy plant for supply of up to 13 thousand spare parts for BM-21 Grad Reactive Fire Reactive Fire systems.
It is important to note that according to investigators, the ideological inspirer of this scheme is the self -proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, who actively contributes to the participation of Belarusian enterprises in military supplies for Russia. In particular, Lukashenko provides unimpeded activities of these plants, despite international sanctions and increasing pressure from Western countries trying to limit the supply of military goods to Russia.
The Belpol investigation confirms that a number of Belarusian plants not only actively work for the Russian army, but also engage in the manufacture of parts used in military missile systems and ammunition, which further increases the risks of stability in the region. This situation is part of a broader policy of support of Russia, which is conducted by Lukashenko regime, which makes Belarus a key supplier of military products for the aggressor in a war in Ukraine.
