As digitization will help fight corruption in military commissions

Until November 2025, Ukraine plans to introduce anonymous consideration of cases by military medical commissions (VLK). This will be the third stage of digitalization, which should reduce corruption risks. This was reported by the senior sergeant of the medical service of Rivne regional shopping center and JV Taras Gusaruk.

According to him, the process of digitalization of the VLK is already ongoing: initially, electronic directions for the passage of VLK were introduced. Further, the conscripts were able to enroll for a specific time and place of passing the commission online. The third stage stipulates that doctors will not see the names of the military who minimize corruption risks. The representative of the Tax Code also reported that due to the heavy load, the work of the military-medical commissions was extended until June 5, 2025. Earlier, the representative of the Ministry of Defense Kateryna Chernoroenko stressed that Ukrainians who received a summary on the VLK on the street may now not go to the military enlistment office - the referral should be introduced into the electronic system. Lawyer Dmitry Franchuk explained that the general mobilization will be automatically stopped with martial law, but this does not necessarily mean its complete completion. Ukraine can introduce transitional mechanisms to gradually remove the conscripts from the Armed Forces.

Thus, the digitalization of the VLK is a step towards transparency that can reduce corruption risks and simplify the process for conscripts.
