If Trump wins, Europe will have to take care of Ukraine

In light of the latest comments from Richard Grenell, one of the key staff and a potential candidate for the post of secretary of state in the event of Donald Trump's victory in the election, heated discussions about international relations and the approach to global conflicts are re-emerging.

In the event of Trump's victory, Europe will have to solve the problem of Ukraine, one of the associates of the presidential candidate Richard Grenell, who is considered a contender for the position of secretary of state, made it clear in an interview with Bild.

"It [the war in Ukraine] is in your backyard. If there was a war in Mexico, we would do most, if not all, of the work. And we certainly wouldn't have turned to the Germans for help if there was a war in Mexico," Grenell said.

He says that Trump will talk to Putin, unlike Biden.

"Biden has never spoken to him [Putin] in three years. I think communicating with people is a tactic. It's not a goal, it's not a solution, but it's getting us there," Grenell added.

He reproached the German government that it "does not listen to the people" and does not adhere to the principle of "Germany first". Otherwise, "Germany has the potential to become Donald Trump's favorite country."

He also named Nord Stream-2 as one of the reasons for the war in Ukraine.

"The German government got Donald Trump's policy horribly wrong. Today, I can claim that Nord Stream 2 became one of the reasons for the war in Ukraine. The German government did not listen to Donald Trump. I would like to apologize for that," said Grenell.

We will remind that the other day Grenell proposed to end the war to create "autonomous zones" in Ukraine and not accept it into NATO.
