At the EDEX 2023 weapons in Cairo, Egyptian manufacturers presented the Haris-5 system to detect and counteract small drones, according to the Army Recognition portal.
The drones have become an integral part of military operations, finding use in intelligence, observation and as shock platforms. At the same time, the importance of effective counteraction to drones is increasing.
The Haris-5 system is designed to protect various facilities, including urban areas, military facilities, airports and major events. This new technique is easy to transport and install with a lightweight tripod.
The developed system has a radius of action up to 1 km and can suppress GPS/DL signals at a distance of 1.5 km, providing rapid response to air threats.
