Yermak met with representatives of Trump's team

On December 4, a meeting of the Ukrainian delegation, headed by Presidential Office Andriy Ermak with representatives of US President Donald Trump, responsible for forming a policy in the Ukrainian direction, was held in Washington.

According to Reuters , the delegation met with Mike Voltets, whom Trump elected a national security counselor, as well as with Kellog Kellog, appointed by his representative on Ukraine. The meeting became the first contact between Ukraine and the new US administration after Trump's victory in the election.

The main purpose of the meeting, according to sources, was to discuss the priorities of bilateral relations between Ukraine and the United States, as well as cooperation in the context of security and economic cooperation. The delegation of Ukraine sought to convey the key messages about the importance of supporting Ukraine in counteracting Russian aggression and strengthening strategic partnership between countries.

Despite the intensive work of Donald Trump's transition team, they did not comment on the results of the meeting. However, experts note that such contacts are an important signal of the new administration's readiness to dialogue with the Ukrainian side.
