According to Politico, the European Union considers the possibility of introducing punished measures against Hungary through the political actions of its Prime Minister Victor Orban. One of the possible measures is the boycott of a foreign policy summit, which should take place in Hungary.
The European Union Foreign Ministers intend to neglect the Foreign Affairs Summit in Budapest in August, organizing their own "formal" summit at the same time. According to the comment portal, "Politico" informs about it.
It is noted that Hungary, who presides the EU Council, plans to hold a foreign affairs summit in Budapest on August 28-29.
But after Viktor Orban's Prime Minister, Viktor Orban, prevented assistance to Ukraine and met with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and China's leader, Xi Jinping, many foreign ministers are looking for a way to avoid another propaganda.
According to the EU's three diplomats, the EU Supreme Representative Josep Borrel is a “formal” foreign affairs council at the Samit of Orban.
"If the Official Council on Foreign Affairs, organized by a high representative [Borrel], will not be held on the same day, ministers will not be able to go to Budapest," one of the diplomats said.
